Poker Room

Room: PokerRoom

Daily free rolls with big prize pools

Two daily $1,000 free rolls are available at PokerRoom. In addition to this the $2,500 money added "Lucky Dollar" tournament takes place every Saturday. PokerRoom has a player points program and the players that score the most points any given day are eligible for cash prizes (up to $250).

Lots of juicy action and short-handed games

PokerRoom has lots of short-handed games with 5 or 6 players. The traffic numbers have increased in a big way, and many of the new players have limited poker skills. Consequently there are many loose games with soft action available at PokerRoom. The most favorable games are the ones with low stakes, where the view flop percentages often reach the 60's. However, the high stakes games are pretty tough. The Holdem gets most of the action, but you can also play Omaha and 7-Card-Stud (both Hi and Hi-Lo) as well.

Top class no-download version

This room's software comes both as a standard Windows download and as a Java applet. The no-download is very useful for Linux and Mac users who otherwise would need a Windows emulator to be able to play. The graphics and functionality is great in both versions - PokerRoom's no-download poker client is probably the best in the world. The statistics functions are solid in general, but the information in the lobby is a bit complicated to access. Special features available are, for example, hourly win/loss rate and Big Bets won or lost.
